Longtime friends and colleagues Mark “Boot” Calkins and Bob “Double B” Button have teamed together for the duel purpose of making great recordings and building community through their music.
Together they have assembled a studio team in upstate NY comprised of retired Teachers and veteran musicians "The House Hucksters".
The result is something to behold; insightful songwriting, strong musicianship and national-level production combine to create the Communikat sound.
Their studio is housed in an auto upholstery restoration shop alongside the Kinderhook(NY) creek. The retirees (aka) the session players, convene for a 9am breakfast. Then they get to work creating epic original productions to share with the world influenced by their combined 400+ years of live and recording experience.
